MV Diamond Jubilee joins our fleet
British Marine is proud to announce that today on the 21st November 2011 the Company has taken delivery of MV Diamond Jubilee, a 56,127 dwt supramax vessel, at the Mitsui Engineering and Shipbuilding yard in Tamano, Japan. This brings to 9 the number of vessels in British Marine’s fleet, of which 6 have been commissioned as new-builds from Japanese shipyards, including 4 from Mitsui. The company continues to maintain its policy of only employing the highest quality Japanese-built vessels, and growing its business organically with a view to achieving a younger average age for its fleet.

Salome sold and delivered to new owners
British Marine sold one of its fleet vessels today, the m.v Salome.

Excalibur joins our fleet
A 74,000 dwt panamax vessel built in 1999 by Tsuneishi has today joined British Marines fleet under the name Excalibur and under British flag.

A 76,000 dwt panamax vessel built in 2002 by Tsuneishi has today joined British Marines fleet under the name Volumnia and under British flag.

British Marine acquires 8 year old panamax
British Marine today signed an agreement for the acquisition to its fleet, m.v Excalibur, built in Japan in 1999. This represents the third acquisition in the panamax sector and is the 12th ship in our fleet.

Marine today signed an agreement for the acquisition to its fleet, the 76,000 dwt, m.v Volumnia, built in Japan in 2002. This represents the second acquisition in the panamax sector and is the 11th ship in our fleet.

Trafalgar joins our fleet
The formerly named “Mega Wisdom” a 76,000 dwt Panamax vessel built April 2001 by Tsuneishi Zosen, Japan, has today joined British Marine’s fleet under the name Trafalgar and under British Flag.

British Marine announces consolidation of shipping interests
British Marine today announced the completion of the reorganisation of the shipping group that has been taking place over the last 6 months. British Marine plc (formerly Verney Services ltd) was previously part of a group of associated companies under common control which traded under the name Ocean Bulk Carriers. From now on all shipping activity will be conducted by British Marine plc, and all contracts previously handled by Ocean Bulk Carriers will be taken over by British Marine

British Marine today signed a contract for a supramax 56000 dwt new build for delivery in 2011 at the Mitsui Shipyard in Japan.

British Marine acquires 6 year old panamax
British Marine today signed an agreement for the acquisition to its fleet of the 76200dwt Trafalgar, built in Japan in April 2001. This represents British Marine’s first acquisition in the panamax sector and is the 10th ship in our fleet.

The formerly named Trident Destiny a 52000 dwt supramax vessel, built in Sanoyas in April 2001 has today joined British Marine’s fleet under the name “Gloriana”, and under British flag.

British Marine today signed an agreement for acquisition to its fleet of the trident Destiny, a 52000 dwt supramax vessel, built in Sanoyas in April 2001, bringing the total number of ships in its fleet to 9 vessels.

OBC Anna renamed London Bridge
After completion of a spell of time under Indian flag for the purposes of trading Indian specific business, OBC Anna was brought back to uk flag where the ship will now trade under the name “London Bridge”.

Aquitania joins our fleet
British Marine today took delivery of a 56000 dwt supramax vessel built at Mitsui Shipyard, Chiba. The vessel was contracted in December 2003, and is the 5th ship in our fleet that was specifically commissioned by us as a new- build and brings the total number of vessels in our fleet to 8. The vessel is to be registered under British flag.

British Marine today took delivery of the 45000 dwt Handymax vessel, previously the Explorer ll, which joined our fleet under British flag, and brings the total number of ships in our fleet to 7.
