British Marine completes the purchase of iron ore mining assets in NT, Australia.

Through its subsidiary, Nathan River Resources, the British Marine Group has completed the purchase of the iron ore mining assets located in the Northern Territory, Australia formerly owned by WDR Iron Ore Pty Ltd (in liquidation). The assets include the exclusive rights and licenses relating to the Roper Bar Mine, haul road and the Bing Bong port. 

The Group is putting in place all the relevant agreements and permissions to beginning the export of iron ore product, as well as the ownership of a variety of equipment including road trains, barges and loading equipment stationed on site. It is expected that the project will begin moving product in early 2018, with the intention to start exports of iron ore product in earnest in Q2 2018.

British Marine completes the purchase of a second-hand bulk carrier on behalf of Time Investments.

British Marine has secured a second-hand dry bulk vessel on behalf of TIME Investments, representing the deployment of the second tranche of equity raised under the UK Enterprise Investment Scheme.

The vessel is a Japanese 2000 built handysize dry cargo vessel, to be renamed M/V Greenwich. The vessel will be flagged in the UK and joins the M/V Grasshopper that was acquired in 2016 through the first tranche of equity raised by Time Investments.

The EIS scheme offers significant incentives to UK based individuals to invest in the dry bulk sector. British Marine and its management company, RB British Marine, provides asset management and commercial and technical management services to the vessel owning companies. This acquisition brings the number of vessels under management to 10.

RB British Marine takes delivery of newbuilding vessel on behalf of Reuben Brothers.

RB British Marine (the joint venture company between British Marine and Reuben Brothers) has completed the delivery of a kamsarmax bulk carrier, M/V RB Ariana, from Sungdong Shipyard, Korea on behalf of the owners Reuben Brothers. This vessel is the seventh addition to the Reuben Brothers fleet, and the fifth from Sungdong.

The joint venture management company, RB British Marine, provides  commercial and technical management services to British Marine's vessels, Reuben Brothers vessels, and 3rd party owned vessels.

RB British Marine (the joint venture company between British Marine and Reuben Brothers) has completed the delivery of a kamsarmax bulk carrier, M/V RB Mya, from Sungdong Shipyard, Korea on behalf of the owners Reuben Brothers. This vessel is the sixth addition to the Reuben Brothers fleet, and the fourth from Sungdong.

The joint venture management company, RB British Marine, provides  commercial and technical management services to British Marine's vessels, Reuben Brothers vessels, and 3rd party owned vessels.

British Marine delivers M/V Clementine to new owners.

British Marine completed the delivery of the 2004 built Supramax M/V Clementine to its new owners, having agreed an MOA in October 2016.
